Interview with UCLA Professor Fernando Torres-Gil, a faculty member of the Departments of Social Welfare and Urban Planning in the Luskin School of Public Affairs. Prof. Torres-Gil describes his childhood in Salinas, California, his education at San Jose State and at Brandeis University where he received his MSW and PhD. He discusses his roles in the Carter, Clinton, and Obama administration and his work with Congressman Ed Roybal. He discussed key policy decisions and issues as well as his academic career at USC and UCLA.
